College Life & How to Be Happy, Dammit! A Cynic’s Guide to Spiritual Happiness

Listening to: She Wants to Move by N.E.R.D.

So, life. How is it? It’s pretty darn tasty. ::sigh:: Semester is coming to an end. I’m a junior in college can you believe it? I can’t. My birthday is coming up in a few days. And I’m a stressed mess. I have to pay $73.00 to be able to register for classes on April 15th. I have to pay $23.00 towards my credit card on April 23rd. And I am the proud recipient of $50.00 that has to go towards these bills. So much, for having birthday money. 🙁 And on a sad note, I have to move out before May 31st because after 15 years in a townhouse. They don’t want to renew our lease. Isn’t that dandy? Well, when life hands you lemons you just have to make due and make lemonade.

And on a lighter but much happier note, everyone should live by the greatest words found in a totally awesome book featured to the right called
How to Be Happy, Dammit: A Cynic’s Guide to Spiritual Happiness

Happiness is not what happens to you, but how you choose to respond to what happens. That’s why it’s called happiness not happenness –though it could be called hope-ness. You must always leave room for hope that all has happened for a good cause.
